Moppy Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 14, 2026

Moppy is operated by iDevelop (“iDevelop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the Moppy app for iPhone and iPad handles information.

Privacy at a glance

Information processed on your device

When you grant Photos access, Moppy processes the photos, videos, and metadata Apple makes available through PhotoKit. This may include local Photos identifiers, creation dates, media types, dimensions, durations, estimated file sizes, screenshots, screen recordings, and information generated during duplicate or visual-similarity analysis.

Moppy also stores local information needed to operate the app, including preferences, scan summaries, analysis caches, review decisions, and identifiers for items you have kept or staged for review. Limited scan and cleanup summaries may be stored in Moppy’s private App Group container so its widget and Live Activities can function.

This information remains within Moppy’s app or App Group containers and is not transmitted to servers operated by iDevelop. Depending on your Apple backup settings, Apple may include eligible local app data in a device backup.

Photos and iCloud Photos

Moppy requests read-and-write Photos access so it can analyze the media you authorize and, only after your confirmation, ask Apple Photos to delete selected items.

You may grant Full Access or Limited Access and can change or revoke that access at any time in your device’s Settings.

If iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple Photos may download media from iCloud when it is needed for display or analysis. This transfer is handled by Apple, not by an iDevelop server. Changes made through Apple Photos, including deletions, may synchronize across devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

Deleted items are managed by Apple Photos through the Recently Deleted album and may remain recoverable there for a limited period. iDevelop does not control Apple’s retention period.

Purchases

Moppy Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Moppy receives entitlement information needed to determine whether Pro access is active.

iDevelop does not receive or store your full payment-card or banking details. Apple handles purchase and subscription information under its own terms and privacy policies.

Notifications, widgets, and Live Activities

If you allow notifications, Moppy may schedule local notifications on your device. The current release does not use an iDevelop-operated push-notification server.

Widgets and Live Activities display locally generated scan or cleanup information using Moppy’s private App Group container.

Data we do not collect

The current release does not include:

Apple may process optional diagnostics or App Store information under Apple’s own privacy policies.

Support communications

Choosing Contact Us in Moppy opens your email app with the Moppy version, build number, device family, operating-system version, and locale prefilled. You can review or remove this information before sending, and no message is sent until you choose to send it.

If you contact support, iDevelop receives the information you voluntarily send, such as your email address, message, the prefilled diagnostic context, or attachments. Moppy does not automatically attach photos, scan caches, scan results, or Photos-library identifiers. Please do not send private photos unless they are necessary to explain an issue and you are comfortable sharing them.

Support communications are used only to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, protect the app, and meet legal obligations. They are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and are then deleted or anonymized, unless a longer period is required by law. Email providers may process these communications on our behalf.

Website information

When you visit this Privacy Policy online, iDevelop’s website hosting and security providers may process standard request information, such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time, as needed to deliver and protect the website. This website information is not combined with your Moppy Photos-library data.

Sharing and sale of information

iDevelop does not sell personal information or share Photos-library data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.

We may disclose information you voluntarily send to support when required by law, necessary to protect legal rights or safety, or processed by a service provider that helps operate our website or support communications under appropriate obligations.

Retention and deletion

Local preferences, scan information, review state, and caches remain on your device until Moppy replaces them, the operating system removes eligible caches, you reset the relevant settings, or you delete the app.

Deleting Moppy removes its local app data subject to Apple platform and backup behavior. It does not delete media from your Apple Photos library.

Because Moppy has no account or iDevelop-operated app-data server, there is no remote Moppy account data to delete. To request deletion of information you voluntarily sent to support, email info@idevelop.team.

Your choices

You can manage Moppy’s access and local data through Apple’s settings:

Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights concerning personal information you provide to support. Contact us to exercise those rights.

Children’s privacy

Moppy is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an iDevelop-operated service.

Security

Moppy minimizes data handling by keeping photo analysis on the device. We use Apple platform protections and limit processing to information needed for Moppy’s features. No storage or communication method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Moppy’s features, dependencies, or legal obligations change. The updated policy will be published at this URL with a revised effective date.
